When to use this guide:
If your laptop won’t show on the room screen, you see “No Signal”, the picture is flickering, the image is tiny, or nothing appears at all.
1. Quick things to try first
These fix most issues:
- Unplug the HDMI cable from both ends and plug it back in firmly.
- Try another HDMI cable if available.
- Make sure the TV/projector input is set to the right source (HDMI 1, HDMI 2 etc.).
- If using ClickShare, try plugging HDMI directly into the wall plate or screen.
- Restart your laptop or device.
2. Check your laptop’s display settings
- On Windows: set the resolution to 1920 × 1080.
- On Mac: set Display to 1080p.
This helps the screen understand the signal.
3. Turn equipment on in this order
- TV / Projector
- Any room equipment (switchers, wall plate)
- Laptop
Turning things on in the wrong order can cause the screen to stay blank.
4. If the picture is flickering
- Try another HDMI cable.
- If you’re using adapters (USB‑C → HDMI), swap them if possible.
When to contact support
- You’ve tried the steps above and still get no picture.
- More than one screen in the room isn’t working.
- The screen shows “HDCP” or “Unsupported resolution” messages.
