Use this guide if:
People can’t hear you, microphones aren’t picking up voices, or there’s no sound from speakers.

1. Basic checks

  1. Make sure the microphone is switched on or properly seated in its stand.
  2. Check it has battery/charge.
  3. Look for a red or green light showing the mic is active.
  4. Ensure any mute buttons (on the mic or touch panel) are not on.

2. If there is no sound in the room

  • Check the room control panel to confirm the speakers/room audio aren’t muted.
  • If using a press/media socket, ensure cables are fully plugged in.

3. Hearing assistance / listening stations

If listeners can only hear when the TV is on:

  • The audio may be coming from the wrong source — report this if it keeps happening.

4. If you hear echo or feedback

  • Move microphones further away from speakers.
  • Turn down laptop volume if sharing via HDMI.

When to contact support

  • A whole row of microphones stops working.
  • One user cannot be heard even though the mic light is on.
  • Persistent echo that doesn’t go away.
